The light gray sheer fabric is adorned with these aluminum "coins" that give the shawl weight, but doesn't make it hard to wear.
It reminds me of something I saw on a cart at the mall with other jewelry that I love.
The great thing about this piece is that it doubles as a shawl/scarf and as jewelry.
I can see why this is one of your favorites. I love pieces that are adorned with these kind of aluminium coins. It is such a shining contrast.
